Gert has become a tropical depresssion as it continues to move west over land. Current forcasts indicate that it is dissipating.

Tropical Storm Gert has formed in the western Gulf of Mexico. Strength is currently 40mph winds, and a tropical storm warning is in effect from Palma Sola to La Cruz. The storm is broad and has a poorly defined center. It’s currently approximately 250 KM east-southeast of Tampico Mexico. Read more about Tropical Storm Gert Forms — Poorly Organized
