If you are trying to locate a family member who was in a hurricane affected area, there are three places you may have some success.
1. Hurricane Safe List at CNN.com
2. Red Cross Missing List (or call 1.877.568-3317)
I’m trying to locate my missing son, A WILMA victim in Playa Del Carmen Mexico. For others in similar situations, some advice;
Don’t waste your time with the RED CROSS they will only refer you to the State Dept. who will only search for government employees, military, and “high profile” victims. CNN only provides info for KATRINA victims.
