Hurricane Water Creates Hazards

The water generated during a hurricane is powerful. But after the hurricane you need to worry about it too. Here are two things to keep in mind:
1. Stay away from moving and standing water. Shallow moving water can sweep you off your feet, and standing water may be electrically charged from downed power lines.
2. Beware of snakes, insects and animals driven to higher ground by flood waters.
